Alex and his girlfriend Anna have a problem: Anna is about to give birth to their child and they cannot seem to find an affordable apartment. The only one who can help them is Anna’s father, Commandant Reiker, who happens to own a vacant house. But Reiker has problems of his own: his battalion is threatened by budget cuts. He desperately needs someone who can help him save his paltry unit. So Alex, who is unfit for service, and Reiker make a pact which not only makes a proper mess of the Swiss Armed Forces, but also leads Alex’s relationship with Anna to the brink of disaster.
