Our TV Post-Production suite is built around a Digidesign Pro Tools HD2 System which is the core of the Control Room. Paired with a Digidesign Pro Control and a Yamaha 02R it controls the whole production process and endless routing possibilities. This studio features a Soundproof Booth which is perfectly insulated from any outside noise, and is equipped with the right acoustic treatment; a floating floor and padded tables, to absorb reflections and create a neutral sound with the perfect environment for voice or acoustic instrument recordings.

This control room is equipped with a Full-HD 42" Plasma Display and a 24" Producer Display fed by a direct video stream from Pro Tools, but they may also be fed by our Video Server which features Digidesign Video Satellite.

Studio Two is our Dolby Surround 5.1 Cinema Suite. It is based on a Pro Tools HD3 System loaded with a full complement of plugins from Waves, McDSP, SoundToys, Altiverb, etc. The Dolby 5.1 monitoring system ensures an accurate audio reproduction and the newly installed Icon D-Command ensures fast access and smooth operations on the mix sessions.

The size of Studio Two also makes it a very attractive workplace for your projects, as it can easily accommodate a full production team.

Studio Three is a small studio used mainly for ISDN links. Built on a Pro Tools HD2 System, it is ideal for audio pre-production and editing and it features a fully-isolated floating vocal booth. Studio Three shares the same space of our Video Editing Station which makes it an ideal place to work on audio and video tasks simultaneously.

This control room is equipped with a Full-HD 42" Plasma Display fed by a direct video stream from Pro Tools, but it can also be fed by our Video Server which features Digidesign Video Satellite.

The Editing Station is located in our Studio Three and shares the same space and infrastructure. It is based on an Apple Mac Pro loaded with Final Cut Studio. It makes an ideal place especially when you need to work with video and audio simultaneously.

This is also a "secondary" video ingest station and could be used to work on subtitles, dvd authoring, etc.

The Video Suite, runned by Alberto Meroni is based around a Final Cut Studio video workstation which is directly network connected to our studios and hard-wired to the machine room. This gives our clients the flexibility to easily move their project from the video suite to the sound engineering studios without loosing precious time.

The machine room is the technical heart of Digilab. All the studios are hard-wired to our Main Patchbay, which gives infinite routing possibilities. Flexibility makes our workflow faster and allows us and our clients to focus on the production process.

Video Server
This machine, shared over our Gigabit network, is our main video ingest workstation. It also serves all the control rooms with digital video streams up to Full HD quality. Digidesign Video Satellite ensures frame accurate offload video playback from our main Digital Audio Workstations, featuring full transport control, superb performance, loop playback and playback of HD and SD QuickTime videos. With over 4 Tera capacity this machine manages the sessions back-up and a secure FTP access for our clients.

FTP Server
Each client has their own Digilab archive for quick uploading and downloading of audio or video files. Using his account space, a client can send us a copy of the master video for us to use in a dubbing of voice-over session. We will deliver the localized video through the same private facility.

Flexibility
Using the same Pro Tools configurations in all the control rooms, we can transfer any sound or video project to any of our three in-house studios. Thanks to our Bantam and Ghielmetti bays interconnecting the three studios, we can record in Studio One a voice talent performing in Booth 3, or we can monitor the recording session in Studio Two from the control room of Studio 3. Our Cat6 GigaBit network LAN enables high-speed transfer of files and complete sessions between the three studios.
